Biogaran, a leading French generic pharmaceutical company, launched a digital transformation initiative using the low-code platform Outsystems to optimize its commercial processes, particularly for its sales representatives. In partnership with the specialized integrator Rokodo, Biogaran developed a comparison tool that helps representatives better target their efforts and strengthen their sales pitches.
A functional prototype (PoC) of the application was developed in just three days, showcasing the flexibility of low-code technology. The Minimum Viable Product (MVP) was developed in about eight weeks, allowing Biogaran to deploy a fully operational solution quickly. This iPad-accessible app enables sales representatives to compare Biogaran's offers with competitors' in real time during pharmacy visits.
The offer comparator helps sales representatives quickly access key information, enabling them to tailor their pitch according to competitors and maximize sales. The tool was designed to be simple, efficient, and adapted to the field, where representatives are often on the move.
The application was gradually deployed to 150 sales representatives starting in June 2024, with training ongoing to ensure smooth adoption. The initial results show tangible returns on investment, with several pharmacies already switching to Biogaran, generating a direct impact on revenue.
The app enhances sales representatives' efficiency by providing clear, up-to-date information, while allowing Biogaran to centrally track data related to the offer comparisons. This centralization helps the company better understand market trends and make more strategic decisions.
Developed in collaboration with Rokodo, this low-code solution quickly meets specific business needs while improving productivity and sales performance. Thanks to its rapid deployment, it has become a key lever for Biogaran, strengthening its position in the French generic pharmaceutical market.
