Grand Paris Aménagement (GPA), a major public entity in urban development in Île-de-France, completed a digital transformation in 18 months, developing a full ERP system using the Outsystems low-code platform. This transformation modernized operations, centralizing data and optimizing processes, while reducing IT service costs by 40%.
Prior to the transformation, GPA relied on Excel for operations, lacking a centralized tool. The goal was to create a solution to centralize information and streamline project management. By choosing Outsystems, GPA delivered its first application in just 48 hours, a significant improvement over traditional development methods.
The low-code Outsystems platform reduced both development and operational costs. GPA quickly customized the solution to meet specific needs, a process that would have been costlier with traditional development. Outsystems also facilitated smooth data management within the ERP system, enabling real-time project tracking.
A major benefit of the low-code solution is its reversibility. GPA can adjust the application as needs evolve without disrupting operations, ensuring long-term flexibility to stay agile in response to changing market and technological demands.
The solution centralizes data, enabling all teams to work from a single source, improving information consistency and speeding up decision-making. Standardizing processes reduced human errors and improved compliance, while consistent data naming ensured clear communication across teams.
Thanks to the efforts of GPA’s project team and Outsystems expert Rokodo, the project won the digital transformation trophy from Solutions Numériques & Cybersécurité. The team digitized the “Urban Planning” process, a core function for GPA, using low-code technology. The project was executed with agility and had a strong impact on operational teams.
This award recognizes the collaboration and vision between GPA, Outsystems, and Rokodo. With the transformation, GPA is now better equipped to design the cities of tomorrow, efficiently optimizing resources while ensuring a fully adaptable solution.
